First launch

This build is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks it the first time it opens.

  1. Open the .dmg and drag myIP to Applications.
  2. Open myIP. When macOS says it cannot verify the developer, click Done.
  3. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway next to myIP.
  4. Confirm with Open. macOS remembers the choice after that.

myIP 1.1

First public release.

  • Shows your public IP address in the menu bar for the network interface you choose.
  • Sends a notification when that address changes.
  • Shows "Offline" when no network interface is up, and starts checking again as soon as one comes back.
  • If the interface you chose goes away, switches to one that is up and checks again.
  • Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
