MarkRowSoft is Mark Engstrom. Everything here is built and run by one person, so the list stays short and the things on it stay finished.

How it runs

The software runs on hardware I own. A row of Django sites in Podman containers, behind one nginx, with dev and prod on the same box. Nothing is rented from a platform that can change its mind about it.

What you get

What is open source is on GitHub and free to read, run and fork. What is paid says so on its page and costs money. There is no third category, no free tier that expires, and no sign-up to read anything on this site.

The name and the mark

MarkRowSoft started as a play on Microsoft. Markrosoft was taken, so the W went in. It reads better as marking rows of software, which is what the mark shows: three cells spelling ROW, a selected row on a worksheet with the software listed along it.
